docdiff software package provides Compares two files word by word / char by char, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install docdiff
docdiff is installed in your system.
Make ensure the docdiff package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep docdiff *
You will get with docdiff package name, version, architecture and description in a table
